College and Career Readiness encompasses more than just academic preparedness. As educators, it is imperative to expand our focus and discussions to encompass social-emotional aspects and child development. In doing so, we emphasize the importance of approaching readiness holistically, taking into account not only academic skills but also fostering social and emotional well-being.
Our 2024 College & Career Readiness Summit will feature noted author and speaker Stephanie Malia Krauss. Stephanie will present key ideas from her recent book "Whole Child, Whole Life"
The book "Whole Child, Whole Life" presents 10 proven practices to help children thrive in the face of the unpredictable and challenging world. Written by an expert with extensive experience in education, youth development, and social work, the guidebook addresses the youth mental health crisis by offering scientifically-grounded methods. The 10 practices aim to prevent and address mental health challenges, fostering the well-being of young people.
